Numa altura me que ligamos a televisão e as notícias apenas nos mostram atos cruéis em todo o mundo, em que a miséria está a nossa porta , em que todo este desenvolvimento tecnológico é recebido com aplausos e incentivos , e as vítimas de falta de equidade social são recebidas com burocracias e discursos imponentes; em que morrem diariamente crianças á fome, mulheres vítimas de violência doméstica; homens fuzilados nos campos de guerra; em que os animais selvagens  deixaram de ser respeitados, e a nossa semelhança em relação ao respeito pela vida deixou de existir, o que nos falta? O que nos falta acontecer, para pararmos e pensarmos onde está o amor??? Onde está a humanidade, a irmandade, a justiça, a solidariedade, a harmonia, a sensatez, onde está o amor? Eu pergunto: onde está o amor?

In a time where we turn the tv on and the news only show us the most cruel acts from all over the world, where misery is at our door, where all this scientific development is welcomed with applause and incentive and where the victims of the lack of social equity are received with burocracy and imposing speeches;men killed in battlefields; where wild animals are no longer respected,where our sameness regarding respect for life no longer exists, what's missing? what has yet to happen to us, in order for us to stop and think:where is the love??? where is the humanity, brotherhood,the solidarity, the harmony, the wisdom, where is the love? I ask: where is the love?

Esta música faz-me lembrar a minha adolescência. A thousand miles é a distância que por vezes ambiciono ter na realidade... É o espaço entre aquilo que somos e aquilo que esta sociedade nos abriga a ser, é a linha entre o presente e o passado. A melodia do piano transporta-nos para um estado de nostalgia , e a nostalgia é cinzenta como as estradas, como um céu num dia de chuva, como o vazio.

This song reminds me of my adolescence , a thousand miles is the distance i want to have between me and the reality... It's the distance between what we are and what this society make us be, it's the line between the present and the past. The piano's melody transports us to a state of nostalgia , and nostalgia is grey like the roads, like the sky on a rainy day, like the void/emptiness.

Não me importa se você é preto ou branco, eu penso assim, e quando oiço esta música do Michael Jackson, sinto o poder das nossas crenças numa única voz. Felizmente os tempos mudam, e a nossa mentalidade também. Cada vez menos existem estes preconceitos, e cada vez mais os povos tornam-se num só. Um misto de culturas, etnias, de línguas, que fazem de todos nós irmãos. E por isso mesmo não me importa, se você é preto ou branco.

I don't care if you're black or white,that's how I feel and when I listen to this Michael Jackson song I feel the power of our beliefs in one voice. Fortunately times change and so does our mentality. There is fewer and fewer prejudice, and the people become one. A mix of cultures, of ethnicities,of languages, that make us all brothers. And exactly for that, it don't matter if you're black or white.

Madona - La Isla Bonita

Gosto muito das músicas dos anos 80, e tenho uma particular afeição pelas músicas latinas. "La Isla Bonita" foi um grande êxito da Madona, e serviu de inspiração para este look. O tema musical fala sobre duas mulheres: uma pura e outra que vive apaixonada. E quem é que nunca dançou ao som de uma melodia espanhola?! Acho muito interessantes as roupas tradicionais das danças latinas, e é incrível como existe muito dessa influência nas nossas roupas do dia-a-dia. No vídeo clip da Madona, ela surge usando um vestido comprido, típico das latinas. O tempo passa e cada vez mais sentimos a presença das criações dos nossos antecedentes no nosso quotidiano.

I really like songs from the 80's, and i'm particularly fond of latin songs. "La Isla Bonita" was a big hit by Madona and it inspired this look. The song's main subject are two girls: one pure and one in love. And who hasn't danced to a spanish melody?! I find the traditional clothes of latin dances very interesting, and it's amazing how much they influence our day to day clothes. In the music video Madona appears wearing a long red dress, typical of latina. Time goes by and more and more we feel the influence of what preceded our day-to-day.

Taylor Swift - 22

Tenho 22 anos e graças a deus posso dizer que este é um dos melhores anos da minha vida. Sinto-me jovem, com vontade de aproveitar a vida ao máximo. As angústias da adolescência desapareceram, os dilemas dos trinta ainda não chegaram , por isso  estou numa fase de conquistas. A conquista da minha independência, dos meus sonhos, das minhas metas, de uma paixão... Vou vivendo um dia de cada vez, rindo, brincando, aproveitando a flor da idade. Quando oiço a música da Taylor Swift , fico com vontade de cantar, dançar, e aproveitar ao máximo os meus 22 anos. Porque a vida é um dia , e cada ano deve ser vivido como se não houvesse amanhã. Isto aplica-se a qualquer idade: aos 15, aos 18, aos 30, aos 40, aos 80 e claro aos 22!

I'm 22 and thank god I can say this is one of the best years of my life.I feel young, and I feel like living live to the fullest.The anguish of adolescence is gone, and the dillemas of the thirties have not yet begun.,so I'm in a phase of conquest.The conquest of my independence,the conquest of my dreams,my goals,and of a passion.I'm living each day at a time,laughing,playing,enjoying the flower of my age.When I listeb to Taylor Swift,I want to sing,dance and fully enjoy my 22 years. Because life is a day,and each day should be lived as if the were no tomorrow.This applies to any age:  15, 18, 30, 40, 80 and of course,22 as well!
